Gene Allan Failor
March 8, 1935 – July 12, 2026
Gene Allan Failor, age 91, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 12, 2026. Gene lived a full and happy life surrounded by the people and things he loved most — his family, a good baseball game, an afternoon on the golf course, cheering on UT sports, and, above all, a day spent fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, C.J. and Florence Failor; brothers: Stewart and Martin; baby brother Sam; and sister Carol A. Failor.
He leaves behind Margaret, his wife of 72 years and the love of his life; his sons, Steven (Catherine) Failor and Curtis Failor; his daughters, Michelle (Mike) Phillips and Lorilynn Failor; grandchildren Corey Phillips and Ashley (Ryan) Coppok; and great-granddaughter Alexis Phillips.
In keeping with his generous spirit, Gene donated his body to LMU (Lincoln Memorial University).
No services will be held, per his wishes.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Gene’s name to: First United Methodist Church of Oneida, Tennessee.
