Carol Jeane (Schneider) Bridges
December 21, 1951 ~ July 11, 2026
Carol Jeane Schneider Bridges, 74, of Oneida, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones in the early hours of July 11, 2026. Born in Lowville, NY, she had been a member of the Oneida community for 46 years. Carol had the warmest smile, and a laugh that was truly contagious. She was always so bright, cheerful, and silly, too. She would have been the best mother, but she was the best aunt to her niece and nephews, with so much love for any children around her.
She spent 54 years with the love of her life, Bobby Bridges. Her love for her husband, family, friends, and community was always evident. She had the kindest heart and always wanted the best for everyone around her.
Carol is preceded in death by her mother – Janis Lambert, her brother – Rick Smith, and her best friend – Sheila Foster.
She is survived by her husband – Bobby Bridges, her sister – Hester Newby and husband Dan, her brother – Bill Schneider and family, her brother-in-law – Keith Bridges, her niece – Brittany McCoy, her nephews – Brandon McCoy, Gavin Wallen, and Garrett Smith, and her great nephew – Evan Byrd. The world and those blessed to know her, will never be the same without her. She may be gone, but never, ever forgotten.
Friends may visit with the Bridges family on Saturday, July 18, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home.
Committal service will follow in the Chitwood Cemetery in Winfield, TN.
