Lena M. Jackson age 94, departed this life on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at Oneida Nursing Home. She was born on July 6, 1932 in Oneida, Tennessee to the late Lawrence M. Blevins and Pearl Mae Watson Blevins. She was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. Lena was a born again Christian at 12 years of age. She was a graduate of 1967 Oneida High School, LPN nurse at Scott County Hospital from 1968 until her retirement in 2000. She worked in the ICU Unit at the Scott County Hospital for most of her nursing career and always said that if the Lord ever wanted her to do something, God’s Grace would help her to serve the people of the community. After her retirement from the hospital, she opened her own business and operated for over 20 years called Lena’s.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Danny Jackson; Children: Jennifer Sue Timbs in 1982, Jackie Rose Armstrong in 2007; Grandchildren: Erika Rose Jackson; Brothers: J.D. Blevins, Billy Joe Blevins, Sr., James R. Blevins and wife Patty; Sisters: Bonnie Phillips, Mary Rose Blevins, Flonnie Faye Phillips, Ruth Kay Burress, and Barbara Sue King; Father and Mother-in-law: Thedora R. Jackson and Fannie Belle Jackson.
She is survived by her children: John Danny Jackson, Jr. and wife Deanna, Lawrence Jackson and wife Linda, Judy Ann Robbins, and husband William; 11 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; Sister: Nancy Ooten; and many relatives and special friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. until time of service to begin at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Four Oaks Funeral Home of Oneida with Bro. Lawrence Jackson officiating. Music will be provided by family. Burial to follow in the Marcum Kidd Cemetery of the Gravehill Community.
