MVP Ballers

28 years ago this week Justin Walker received his MVP trophy in the District Scott County middle school championship, as an eighth-grade student at the Scott High School gym. No doubt never thinking that one day he would have a son to follow in his footsteps. Those were big shoes to follow in because Justin was an awesome player. For those of you who remember he had a great ability to see the court. So many years later, we have Drew Walker who earned his MVP award as an eighth grader and also in the same Scott High gym. The trophies look a little different, but the feeling is the same. Hard work finally has a name MVP. Hats off to these awesome ball players, for their skill and love and dedication for the game. Congratulations! We all are very proud of you both. And it’s a memory that they will never forget. Thanks to Drews Nanny Betty Walker for getting us Justin’s MVP trophy, Justin nor Drew or the family knew anything about this surprise. We just had faith in Drew and his skills. We love you Drew, now on to the regionals.
