He was ahusband, father, grandpa,great grandpa, and apreacher and pastor formore than 50 years. Rev.Sharpe retired from GeneralMotors, Lakewood,and loved to hunt and fi sh.He was married to thelove of his life, Betty JuneChambers Sharpe, for 65years.In addition to his parents,he was preceded in deathby his wife: Betty JuneChambers Sharpe; sister:Marcia Lou Honeycutt;brothers: Mylus, HarryLee, Sherlow ‘Vic”,Bobby, and Oscar “Holt”Sharpe; and daughter-inlaw:Karen Sharpe.Rev. Jeffrey Lynn ParmleyAugust 30, 1961 -October 7, 2023Jeffrey Lynn Parmley, age62 of Oneida, TN, formerlyof Monticello, KY,passed away peacefullySaturday, October 7, 2023at his home in Oneida, TN.He was born August 30,1961 in Indianapolis, IN;the son of the late Robertand Jean Parmley. He wasunited in marriage to DebbieSmith on July 8, 1983.He is survived by hiswife of 41 years, DebbieParmley; one son IanParker Parmley (Calee).He is also survived bytwo sisters, Karen Abbottand Brenda Wright, onebrother-in-law, Ed Smith(Brenda) and one sisterin-law, Kim Giles (Greg);along with a host of familyand friends who mourn hispassing. In addition to hisparents, he was precededin death by his brother,Jerry Parmley, his fatherand mother-in-law, Earland Grace Smith, and sister-in-law, Melissa Smith.Jeff was known for hismany musical talents.Singing, playing instruments,as well as songwriting. He was an avid, lifetime musician. At home, Jeff enjoyed spending time with his family and especially with his dog, Leia; He loved doing projects outside and she would be there every step of the way. He was an alumnus of EasternKentucky University andUniversity of Louisville.Throughout his career asa licensed clinical social worker, he touched many lives and helped the mover come obstacles with a great passion and dedication to his profession.He became a Christian at a young age and was amember at Mt. Zion BaptistChurch. Later in life he and his wife, became members of Mill SpringsChristian Church. After leaving Wayne County kept their membership at Mill Springs ChristianChurch. Their son, Ian was baptized there as well.Mt. Zion Baptist Church and Mill Springs ChristianChurch have always remained dear to the family.Memorial services will beheld Saturday, October 21,2023 at 2 pm at the MillSprings Christian Church.In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy maytake the form of donations to: The Multiple SclerosisSociety.
