Donna Jean Tipton
November 30, 1950 – June 16, 2026
Donna Jean (Harville) Tipton, age 75, departed this life peacefully on June 16, 2026. Born on November 30, 1950, in Middletown, Ohio, Donna was the daughter of Thomas Jefferson Harville and Odella (Moore) Harville. She graduated from Carlisle High School, married her high school sweetheart, David Tipton, and later earned her bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Cincinnati.
Donna built a respected career in Purchasing and Materials Management with International Fineblanking Corporation (IFC) in Dayton, Ohio. Through the years, she became known for her dedication, professionalism, and strong work ethic. She retired in 2003.
Retirement became the beginning of a meaningful new chapter. Donna and her husband, David, moved to a small farm in Oneida, Tennessee, where they enjoyed riding horses, inviting their family for vacation, and making memories together.
Donna’s greatest passions were her family, quilting, her horses, and her love of God. She found joy in passing along what she loved to others. Over the years, she taught her grandchildren to ride horses and ATVs, to bake bread, and take time to play, have adventures, and enjoy life together.
Her faith shaped the way she lived and served. Donna devoted herself to serving and leading alongside her church community. She led women’s Bible studies, was a certified lay speaker, served at a local food pantry, served on many Walk to Emmaus retreats, taught quilting skills to others, and gathered with friends around sewing tables to share conversation. She believed faith was meant to be lived, shared, and stitched into everyday life.
Donna will be remembered for her generous spirit, steady faith, adventurous heart, and the way she brought fun wherever she went. Whether through a carefully designed quilt, words of encouragement, time spent outdoors, or moments shared with those she loved, she leaves a legacy that will continue for generations.
Donna is survived by her husband, David; her daughter, Nicole (Matthew) Baker and son, Brian Tipton; her grandchildren, John Baker (Alyssa Lee) and Grace Baker (Patrick Trout), Christina (CJ) Alexander and Jared (Mychala) Tipton; her great-grandchildren, Culley and Amara Alexander; her sister, Pam Kasch; and extended family and friends who will miss her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Jefferson Harville and Odella (Moore) Harville, her sister, Cynthia Larimer, and her daughter-in-law, Channa Tipton.
Donna is being cared for by Four Oaks Funeral Home. She will be cremated; no services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Oneida First United Methodist Church, 234 Main St., Oneida, TN 37841.
Though she is deeply missed, Donna’s life continues in every trail explored, every quilt stitched, every lesson shared, and every act of faith and love carried forward by those who knew her.
