Oneida High School hosted Wartburg Central High School Friday night in a district matchup that saw both Oneida teams come away with wins.
The Lady Indians struggled to find their rhythm early and trailed through much of the first half before making key adjustments at halftime. Oneida increased defensive pressure in the second half, improved ball movement on offense, and pulled away late to secure a 50–41 victory. Senior Elli West reached a career milestone during the win, scoring her 1,000th career point with her first three-pointer of the third quarter.
The boys game remained close through the first half before Oneida took control in the third quarter. The Indians went on a strong run coming out of the locker room, creating separation with consistent scoring, solid rebounding, and defensive stops. Oneida continued to build on the lead through the final period to secure a 77–62 win, improving to 3–0 in district play.
