Terry Willard Blankenship
1948 – September 10, 2025

Terry Willard Blankenship passed away in his home peacefully on September 10, 2025. The son of Cecil and Lila (Terry) Blankenship, Terry grew up in Oneida, Tennessee. He was born in 1948. He was a man who deeply cherished his family and friends, and he often expressed gratitude for a life filled with love and meaningful experiences. He was a proud veteran of the third battalion, 506th infantry, 101st airborne division from 1968 to 1970. He served in Vietnam. He was a recipient of nine medals, including bronze star medal and Vietnam service medal with two bronze service stars. He was a police officer and detective with the Carpentersville Illinois Police Department for 27 years. Even in retirement, his commitment to helping others never wavered. He went on to serve with 911 dispatch in Fairfield Bay, Arkansas. He later moved to Minnesota to be closer to family. He is survived by his wife Nancy, his three daughters Angela Spiniolas (Sean Kotewa), Julie Feetterer, Terri Lee Blankenship (Cindy Allen), grandchildren Ashley Robbins (Derek), Courtney Volkmann (Jairus), Jessica Spiniolas, Curtis Harper, Jeremiah Feetterer, Brody Feetterer, great grandchildren Paislee and Marleigh Robbins and Imrie Jae Volkmann, brother Milton Blankenship (Linda) and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister Freda (JW) Smith and Etta (Randy) Jeffers.
