Two Killed in Morgan County Crash
By Shane Gilreath
According to 9th District Attorney General Russell Johnson, two people were killed when a Wartburg based nursing home bus crashed on July 2nd in Morgan County. The accident happened on Knoxville Highway between Oliver Springs and Coalfield, when a vehicle, believed to have been driving erratically, hit the bus head on.
“As a driver, you have to not only be mindful of what you’re doing, but be mindful of others,” Johnson said in a statement to media. “A situation like this, a narrow two-lane road, it’s hard to account for something coming head on at you.”
Johnson confirmed that the two people killed included the resident who was being transported on the bus belonging to Life Care Center of Morgan County.
