Delmer Keeton, age 78, departed this life on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. He was born on February 22, 1947, to the late Lawrence and Helen West Keeton. Delmer was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War. He loved farming, four-wheeling, mowing and being outdoors. He loved eating good, home cooked meals, and family time. Delmer worked for 42 years at Plateau Electric as a lineman and Director of Operations in Scott County and Branch Manager for Morgan County. Delmer was a member of White Rock Baptist Church. Most important in his life was his ministry. He pastored in several churches over his lifetime, as well as preached in various churches. He was a devoted follower and faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ his entire life. Delmer was a devoted husband, loving dad, papaw, brother, preacher, pastor, uncle, co-worker and friend.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister: Lucille Gregory; Brother: Tommie Keeton.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years: Naomi Keeton; special children: Donna Denise Goodman and husband Jeffrey, Delmer Tracy Keeton and wife Deanna; grandchildren: Jaden Layne Goodman, Lawrence Cole Keeton and wife Cassidy, Jacey Tara Shannon and husband Bryson, Halie Brook Keeton, and Noah Bunch; bonus grandchildren: Ruth Gregory and Silas Gregory; special nephew: Shawn Gregory and wife Kaneika; brothers: Lillard Keeton and wife Marsha, Dave Keeton and wife Sharon, Jack Keeton and wife Betty, Doug Keeton and wife Jennie; several nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, co-workers, and friends who held a special place in his heart.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. until time of funeral service to begin at 2:00 p.m. at the White Rock Baptist Church with Bro. Tracy Keeton, Bro. James West, and Bro. David Walker officiating. Music to be provided by White Rock Baptist adult and youth choir and specials provided by his loving grandchildren. Burial will follow in the Keeton Farm Private Cemetery with full military honors provided by the American Legion Post #136.

Pallbearers will be Cole Keeton, Jaden Goodman, Noah Bunch, Bryson Shannon, Shawn Gregory, and Gabriel Street. Honorary Pallbearers his brothers: Lillard Keeton, Doug Keeton, Jack Keeton, Dave Keeton and son-in-Law: Jeff Goodman.
