Walker claims MVP of 8th grade all star game

Drew Walker of the Fairview Rebels who was chosen as first draft pick for the Exigent Sports team for the 8th grade all star team at the Oliver Springs Academic Center, was named MVP of the game scoring 22 points. This team was chosen by Coach DJ Pendergrass and competed with the In the Lab team with a winning score of 90 to 42. 4 seniors from Coalfield led by Ethan Jones were the courtside coaches for Exigent sports and senior coaches from Clinton led the In the Lab team with coach Rock. Drew was the only member of the team from Scott County. Exigent sports also chose the girls team with the first draft pick being Janiyah Turner who also claimed MVP of the girls team. Great job by all the talented players and coaches. A fun competition with extra points for razzle dazzle lay-ups, a four point line, and dunks. There was also a competition fun run for players and those who were not drafted but had been nominated. A positive atmosphere for all those involved. Great job teams!
