November has been officially recognized as National Home Care and Hospice Month in Scott County, following the signing of a proclamation by County Mayor Jerried Jeffers. The proclamation highlights the essential role that home care and hospice professionals play in delivering compassionate, quality care to residents in need.
Home care and hospice workers and in home caregivers provide critical services that allow individuals—especially the elderly, chronically ill, and those facing life-limiting conditions—to remain in the comfort of their own homes surrounded by loved ones. These dedicated professionals include nurses, aides, therapists, social workers, family caregivers, and volunteers who work tirelessly to support patients and families during some of life’s most challenging times.
“Home health care and hospice services are vital to maintaining the health, dignity, and independence of our community members,” said Robin Coffey, Quality Home Health Liaison “This proclamation honors the compassionate caregivers who make it possible for residents to receive quality care at home. We are so fortunate to have home health, hospice, and medical equipment offices with The Quality Family of Companies, here locally and that are on call 24/7 to provide excellent care to our residents in their own homes right here in Scott County”.
Local home care and hospice agencies such as Quality Home Health and Quality Hospice Care encourage residents to take time this month to thank the caregivers in their lives and to learn more about the valuable services available within the community.
