March 28, 1934 – April 19, 2025
Ona Ruth Lane (Wright) age 91, departed this life on April 19, 2025. She was born on March 28, 1934 to the late Doffes Wright and Lillie Wright (Lloyd). Mrs. Lane was a member of Mill Branch Baptist Church, and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who cherished time spent with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Norman Lane; Daughter: Wilma Boshears and husband Bobby; Son: Larry Lane; Sisters: Margie Mullins and Sue Dryer; Grandchild: Tony Boshears.
She is survived by her Children: Gilda Tapp and husband Eddie, Jeffery Lane and wife Ransetta, and Kathy Lane; Grandchildren: Ashley Cummins and husband Jeffery, Brian Lane and wife Hailey, Melissa Marsee and husband Andy, Miranda Lay and husband Eugene, Teresa McGee and husband Wayne, Renee Wormsley and husband Travis, Tina Thomas and husband Brian, and Ann Boshears; 18 Great-Grand Children; 10 Great-Great-Grand-Children; and many relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Four Oaks Funeral Home of Huntsville with Rev. Eugene Lay and Jeffery Cummins officiating. Music to be provided by Jimmy and Sarah Byrd. Graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. in the Mill Branch Cemetery in the Norma Community.
Pallbearers will be family.
