Farris Ellis

August 5, 1943  –  March 3, 2025

Farris Lee Ellis, age 81, departed this life on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Oneida Nursing Home and Rehab Center. He was born August 5, 1943 to the late Will Ellis and Artie Sloan Lathem Ellis. Farris was a member of the West Robbins Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his Brother: Bobby Wayne Ellis and wife Margaret; Sisters: Ruby Ellis Byrd and husband Bob Byrd, Billie Ellis York and husband Albert, and Artie June Ellis Moore and husband John.

Farris is survived by several nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends, including his church family.

A Special thanks to Oneida Nursing Home and Rehab Center, the staff at Amedisys Home Health Care, the staff of Fresenius Kidney Care of Caryville, Tennessee, and all his special drivers from ETHRA, Oneida Nursing Home and Scott County Ambulance Service.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service to begin at 12:00 p.m in the Chapel of the Four Oaks Funeral Home of Huntsville with Bro. Brian Strunk and Bro. Robert Freels. Music to be provided by West Robbins Baptist Church Choir. Burial to follow in the Black Creek Crossroads Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
