Presidents Letter
Greetings to the members of the Scott County Historical Society. Here In Huntsville we have only been open sparingly due to the COVID outbreak we have been open off and on. We did have one Director, Mike Garrett to resign for health reasons. It has been a pleasure getting to know and work with Mike for the past few years. We want to wish Mike good luck and hopefully his health gets better. We haven’t replaced Mike’s position on the board, we intend to do that during our next monthly meeting in October. I have made some committee appointments, I have appointed Vickie Webb to the Newsletter Committee and Libby Shannon to the Research and Organizational Committees.
We want to remind you that we are capable of accepting credit cards for purchases and memberships. So, it’s time to think about those Christmas presents. We, at the Historical Society would like to recommend one of our books or a yearly membership. We will extend our 10% discount through the end of the year on purchases of books.
David Jeffers, President
