Photo by Shane Gilreath More than a dozen volunteers joined Cumberland Clear organizers on Saturday morning for a community cleanup at Winfield Elementary. As a result of the community participation, the organization was able to tackle overgrowth in school gardens, pressure wash sidewalks, plant trees, care for overgrown lawns, and added much needed mulch to the school’s landscaping. School employees, including Principal Brandi Harris, and several teachers joined Cumberland Clear and worked inside the building, removing wax and redoing the school’s hallowed hallways.
