Free Clothing Distribution – Appalachian Ministry Center, located at 24728 Scott Hwy in Winfield (Old Winfield School Building) will have a free clothing distribution on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month from 9am-12 noon.
Second Harvest of East Tennessee Mobile Food Pantry will be at Bethlehem Baptist Church of Oneida on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, from 11am until all the allocated food has been distributed. Second Harvest requests that recipients should arrive when the distribution starts, rather than arriving before the start time. The distribution will take place at 19360 Alberta Street, Oneida, TN.
Honor Guard Recruitment and Need – Oneida’s American Legion Post 136 Honor guard an all-volunteer group need new members for our team as well as new uniforms. Anyone interested in learning more about being an Honor Guard member, or in donating for the purchase of uniforms, please call the Veterans Service Office at 423-663-4289, M-F, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. U.S.S Tennessee Museum Located at Scott County High School will be open September 27th (Scott County Heritage Festival), October 11th & 25th, November 8th & 22nd and December 6th.
Scott County VFW Post 5669 Fun Run & Pancake Breakfast – An event like no other, and we want you to be there! This 2.5k run/walk and breakfast at the Oneida Senior Citizens Center This event will help with fundraising efforts for the VFW Memorial Wall. Nov 15, 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Pet-Tober Fest will be held on Saturday October 18th, 2025 at Tractor Supply. Scott County’s Best Pet Costume Contest will be held between 11:30am to 12:30pm. Top 6 winners will receive ribbons and gift bags. Every pet that shows up in costume will receive a participation gift bag. Farmers Market will be from 8am to 2pm with over 15 local participating vendors.
Clean Slate Addiction And Trauma Recovery Group Meetings are every Monday at 6:30pm at Thrive Church; 130 Choate Lane, Oneida Tn 37841. For more info call/text Miranda Salada at 423-577-9221. This is for any type of addiction, not just substance and alcohol, and any trauma. It is a faith based recovery group. Everyone welcome

Upper Jellico Creek Reunion normally held over Labor Day weekend has been moved to Sunday, October 19th, at 1:00 due to the rising temperatures.
