Community Events – March 13, 2025
The Scott County Democratic Party will hold a Reorganization Convention to elect new leaders on Sunday, March 23, 2025. The meeting will take place at the Scott County Office Building located at 2845 Baker Hwy, Huntsville, TN. Registration will be open at 2:00 p.m., convention start time is 3:00 p.m.
God’s Grace Soup Kitchen is Saturday, March 15 at Helenwood Baptist Church Fellowship Hall at 11 am. Several Scott County churches will provide FREE lunches of pinto beans with cornbread and dessert. Drive by and your lunch will be handed to you without the need to leave your car.
Children’s Center of the Cumberlands – Please join us on Friday, April 4th, at Oneida Municipal Building at 11:30 AM as we plant 263 pinwheels in honor of the children we served in 2024 who are brave survivors of child abuse. Wear your blue to help us raise awareness.
Book Launch – Author Angelia Ross’s book launch for Shadows Of The Heart on March 15 at the Scott County Office Building from 2-5pm. Complimentary refreshments will be offered.
Free Clothing Distribution – Appalachian Ministry Center, located at 24728 Scott Hwy in Winfield (Old Winfield School Building) will have a free clothing distribution on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month from 9am-12 noon.
Oneida Masonic Lodge #695 will be serving breakfast the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month. $8 a plate, 7am-10am.
