It is with profound sadness but great hope in the promise of eternal life that we announce the passing of Glynda Cooper Bryant on January 1, 2025. She departed this world surrounded by her beloved husband, children, and the love of Christ, leaving behind a legacy of faith, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her Lord.

Glynda was born on July 9, 1941, in Dayton, Ohio, to Glenn and Esther Cooper. She met and married Roger Bryant on June 26, 1961, and together they built a home filled with faith and devotion. . She was a tireless worker, whether nurturing her family, running the family jewelry store with her husband, serving her church community, or lending a helping hand to her neighbors in need. A generous spirit defined her life. Glynda was known for her charitable heart, always willing to give her time and resources to those in need. Her faith was active and demonstrated through countless acts of kindness and service.

Glynda was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Esther Cooper and her brother, Paul Cooper. She is survived by her husband Roger, her daughters Cindy (Scott) Faulkner of Lexington; Judy Bryant of Lexington; and Beth (Mike) Maxfield of Whitley City, and her sister Barbara Heinss of Chattanooga. She was the proud grandmother of William Kelly (Jeannie) Lykins of Cynthiana, Jessica Lykins of Lawrenceburg, Shane (Kimberly) Maxfield of Marion, Virginia, Craig Maxfield of Whitley City, Daniel (Shea) Burchfield of London, and Khristian Maxfield of Whitley City. Glynda had the joy of six great-grandchildren, Mason, Gabriel, Zoey, Jaynee, Levi, and Rhema.

Funeral services were held Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery.
