Community Events – December 5th issue
E.T.H.R.A. will distribute USDA Commodities on December 12th, 2024 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Scott County Farmer’s and Crafter’s Market. Please bring your own boxes, and you may pick up for three households only. In accordance with federal law, both ETHRA and USDA are prohibited from discrimination on the basis of race, color national origin, sex, age, or disability.
Highland Harmony Community Chorus – A program created through the Appalachian Society of the Arts is open to area adult and teens (14 and up) who want to sing together in a large group. Rehearsals are on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month, 7 to 8:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, Oneida. Annual dues is $40 for music and supplies. Free truck driving permit prep classes – Tennessee College of Applied Technology Oneida/Huntsvill. Open to anyone in the community who plans to pursue a CDL. Located at Oneida campus, at 180 Eli Lane, and will be taught by TCAT’s Truck Driving instructors. Classes will be offered on Monday, Dec. 2; and Monday, Dec. 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day. Karate for Christ Oneida presents Christ centered karate lessons at Oneida Church of God, 1100 Paint Rock Rd., Oneida, TN. Open to everyone 5 years and up regardless of age, size or shape. Suggested donation of $5.00 per class. For more information call Larry Mason at 302-535-3965.
