Larry Young age 73, departed this life on Saturday October 4, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 4, 1951 to Mack and Velma Young. Larry enjoyed watching westerns and never being without a cup of coffee, enjoying the outdoors, and his grape Swisher Sweets. He loved his beagles: Angelina, Pepper, Fred and Buddy. His Chihuahuas: Penny, Feisty, Buford and Lucy. Larry most of all loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings: Dennis Young, Doris Harness, and Janie Worthington; Father and Mother-in-law: Hoyal and Martha Carroll; In-laws: Larry Sexton, Joan Sexton, and Debbie Henry.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years: June Young; Children: Becki Young and Scott Young; Grandchildren: Perry, Simone and Fiancé Drew, Lillie, Gabe, Amy and Fiancé Trevor, Cayde, Serenity, Sara, Monday, Kyle and wife Kaity, and Logan and fiancé Kacie; Great-Grandchildren: Priscilla, Garrett, Zaiden, Dani, Thomas, Hazel, Erin, Henry, and Andrew; Siblings: Jason Young, Michael Young, Matthew Young, and Melissa Young; In-Laws: Randy Sexton and wife Shirley, Sandy Majors and husband Chuck, Kathy Baliles and husband Harvey, Merley Henry, Dee Frogge and husband Willis, and Mike Carroll and wife Elizabeth; Special Friend: Glen McCoy and Jeff Lowe; and many other family and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. until time of funeral service to begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Four Oaks Funeral Home of Huntsville with Rev. Mike Carroll officiating. Music will be provided by Elizabeth Carroll and Mike Carroll. Graveside Service will be held on Monday October, 7, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Concord Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Trevor Foster, Kyle Bowling, Jeff Lowe, Glen McCoy, Scott Young, and Willis Frogge.
