In response to recent flooding in East Tennessee, the Sheriff’s Office and Scott County School System have joined forces to support affected families. Thank you to Helenwood Foods, Scott County School System, and Sheriff Keeton for their generous donations. Your generosity embodies the spirit of community. Special thank you to Kirby Wright, Captain Amy Lay, and Master Sergeant Lukeus Murphy for ensuring the supplies were delivered safely to those affected by the floods. Let’s continue supporting through donations, volunteering, or reaching out. Together, we can rebuild and restore hope. #EastTennesseeStrong

Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology are pitching in to help communities in East Tennessee that were impacted by Hurricane Helene, and TCAT Oneida/Huntsville was honored to provide transportation for items that have been donated so far. TCAT Oneida/Huntsville Truck Driving instructor Darrell Slater made a run to LaVergne and Murfreesboro this week to gather 1,350 cases of water (nearly 30 pallets), which were delivered to Walter State Community College for distribution in the areas hit hardest by flooding.
Pictured in the group photo are representatives of Essendant, a distribution center in LaVergne that donated a significant amount of water. The final picture is of the pallets being unloaded at Walter State.

Plateau Electric Cooperative crews have finished up at Holston Electric Cooperative & have been working hard in Boone, NC the past few days to help aid in restoring power to those facing devastation after Hurricane Helene.
Please keep these guys in your prayers as well as all the other first responders, volunteers, and victims of Helene’s aftermath.
We appreciate all the hard work these guys have put in, as well as all of our employees.

JDS Technologies Inc. and Omega Process Solutions employees filed a truck with supplies to be donated. Thank you Alan Nash for driving the JDS truck to the location.

Want to say a big thank you to the Churches & volunteers down around our Winfield, TN terminal who are so graciously giving donations for the hurricane victims. Cordell will be taking the loaded trailer down to give some relief to those effected once all donations are received. If you’re able to, please donate. There are so many in dire need of basic necessities.

Left: New Haven Baptist Church – Donation drop in Waynesville that will then disperse to surrounding towns that we can’t get to. Right Andy and Tina Ringness accepted donations at VFW Post 5669.
