Lola Faye TerryAugust 23, 1948 -November 16, 2023

Lola Faye Terry, age 75 of Oneida, TN, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at her home with her family by her side. Born August 23, 1948, in Scott County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Caney and Maudie Terry. Lola was saved on June 29, 1961, and baptized July 6, 1961, by Von Burress at the Dexter Laxton Pond. She was a member of the Black Oak Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life and the father of her children: Roger (Ken) McKinley Jeffers I; son: Roger McKinley Jeffers II; in-laws: Earl and Evie Jeffers, Alfred and Melody Jeffers; brothers: James Terry, Theodore and Ruth Terry; sisters: Mae Reynolds, and Dorothy and Bill Young; broth-ers-in-law: Wayne Keith and Russell Jeffers; and sister-in-law: Waudean Taylor. Lola is survived by her children whom she cherished: Regina and Glen Cooper, Rhonda and Wallace Walker, Tonya Jeffers and Jr. Moore, and Vince and Mary Jeffers; grandchildren: Brittany and Dwayne Carroll, Kelsey and Peter Floss, Hunter Cooper, Skyler West, Megan West, Colby and Whitney Sexton, Sam and Jake Duncan, Sienna Jeffers and fi ancé Shawn Shelton, Kenny Jeffers, Caleb Cross, and Hannah Cross and fi ancé Chase; 16 great grandchildren: Chloe, Solora, Mallory, Aiden, Khloe, Karleigh, Kaden, Keelie, Keyser, Kaylee, Elli, Issac, Ezra, Lillie, Ethan and Bryer; brothers: Harlin and Jewell Terry, and Cordell and Ovie Terry; sister: Bonnie Miller; brothers-in-law: Rodney and Carolyn Jeffers, Robert Jeffers, Roy Jeffers, Steve and Betty Jeffers, and Gary and Elaine Jeffers; sisters-in-law: Phyllis and Jim York, Olamae Jeffers, and Judy Goins; special nephew: Stevie Young, special niece: Shannon Hagood; and many other relatives and friends. Friends may visit with the Terry family on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Kyle Keeton and Bro. Ashley Cooper offi ciat-ing, with Wallace Walker reading a poem. Commit-tal Service will follow in the Peaceful Rose Garden Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Hunter Cooper, Dwayne Carroll, Colby Sexton, Kenny Jeffers, Jr. Moore, David Sexton, Jake Duncan, Shawn Shelton, Stevie Young, and Wallace Walker.

 

Edna GoodmanJune 22, 1948 -November 15, 2023

In loving memory of Edna Mae Goodman, born June 22, 1948, and departed this life on November 15, 2023. Edna was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Flora Hall; brothers, Cecil Hall, Omar (Bud) Hall, Robert Hall, and Paul Hall; sisters, Shirley Cooper, Faye Rene Goad, Elsie Massengale and Jennell Lay; and children Paula Marlow and Eddie Goodman. She is survived by her broth-ers, Ron and wife Joyce Hall and Curtis and wife Glenice Hall; sister, Carrie Bass; her children, Ray Marlow, Lonnie Goodman, and Donnie Goodman; grandchildren, Chelsey Marlow, Isaac Marlow, Nickie Jeffers, Eddie Goodman, Jr., Chelsey Peterson, Krista Yancey, Isaiah Smith, and Dakota Goodman; special friend, Wilma Massengale; many stepchildren, great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends who loved her dearly. Friends may visit with the Good-man family on Sunday, November 19, 2023 from 2 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 3 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home. Committal service will follow in the Morris Goodman Ceme-tery in the Pine Hill com-munity. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

 

Skye LloydJanuary 19, 1976 -November 13, 2023

Skye Ashley Lloyd, age 47 of Oneida, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023, at the Big South Fork Medical Center with his family by his side. Born January 19, 1976, in Knox-ville, Tennessee. Skye had a strong faith in the Lord and was a member of Bethle-hem Baptist Church where he served as an AWANA team leader for many years. Skye is preceded in death by his grandparents, Hubert Duncan and Virgil and Irene (Tri-plett) Lloyd, uncle and aunt, Tommy and Loretta Lloyd, and cousin, Lori (Lloyd) Newport. Skye is survived by his parents, Joey and Jane Lloyd, brother, Tyler Lloyd and wife Allison, grandmother, Phyllis Duncan, nephews, Luke and Cash Lloyd, uncles, Bill Duncan and wife Melanie, Jim Lloyd and wife Elaine, Marshall Lloyd and wife Jetta, David Lloyd and wife Anna, cousins, Ryan Duncan (who was like a brother) and wife Stephanie, Leigh (Duncan) Culver and husband Blake, Tami (Lloyd) Edwards and husband David, Tomi (Lloyd) Thompson, Natalie (Lloyd) Long and husband Justin, Chase Lloyd and wife Donna, and Jaimi Lloyd and wife Robin, special cousin, Kristi (Duncan) Cornelius (who once hit him in the head with a golf club) and husband Jeff, and Elaine Duncan Payne who brought Skye chicken and dumplin’s, his Tuesday Night Crew, Jamie Thomas, Aaron Terry, Derek Lay, and special friends Chris Lowe, Lynn Phillips and Billy Miller. He is also survived by many, many other cousins, family and friends and his Bethlehem Baptist Church family. Skye was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and was quick to let everyone know that his beloved Dawgs were back-to-back National Champions and trying for a three peat in 2023. He also loved baseball and enjoyed watching games on the MLB channel, and the Oneida High School Football games.Friends may visit with the Lloyd family Saturday, Novem-ber 18, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until time of the Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Bro. Jason Burress and Bro. Tim Smith offi ciating. Music will be provided by Jeff Cornelius and Dallas West. Committal service will follow in the Litton Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tyler Lloyd, Ryan Duncan, Jeff Cor-nelius, Aaron Terry, Derek Lay, and Billy Miller. The fam-ily would like to give special thanks to the ER Staff at Big South Fork Medical Center for their care and compassion shown to Skye. Terry Shannon StevensMarch 21, 1982 -November 17, 2023

Terry Shannon Stevens, age 41, departed this life on Friday, November 17, 2023. He was born on March 21, 1982 to his parents Deborah Ann Stevens and the late Jesse Roland Stevens Jr. Terry was a gradu-ate of Wartburg High School, Class of 2000. In 2020, he began his pursuit of a degree in Industrial Electricity at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology. He worked for 18 years as an employee of Y-12 in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Terry enjoyed spending time with his family and special loved ones. He was pas-sionate about his children, Hudson and Abigail. Terry was a loving husband, daddy, son, uncle, nephew, and special friend to all who knew him. He was loving, patient, caring, and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who would ask. Most importantly, he was a born-again Christian. He was passionate about serving the Lord and was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his father: Jesse Roland Stevens Jr; Grandparents: J.B. and Dolores Terry, Marie and Lucky Brown; Aunt and Uncle: Ronnie and Brenda Terry; Nephew: Zachary Anderson; Special Cousin: Douglas Richardson. Terry is survived by his loving wife Amanda, two young children: Hudson and Abigail who loved their daddy so much; Mother: Deborah Stevens. Stepfather: Robert Gibson; Sister Jacqueline Stevens; Niece: Aunasta-cia Anderson; Great-Nephew: Bentlee Anderson; Special Aunts and Uncles: Dilbert and Angie Terry, Dwayne and Cassie Terry, Joe and Nancy Miksis; Mother in law: Pam Bradley; Brother in law: Brian Bradley and Wife: Erika and family, Father in Law: Gerald Bradley, and many other special relatives and friends. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, from 4:00 P.M. until time of funeral services to begin at 6:00 P.M. at Trinity Baptist Church, 1611 Glasshouse Road, Helenwood, Tennessee, 37755, with Bro. Nathan Terry and Bro. Dilbert Terry offi ciating. Music will be provided by The Butts Family. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at 10 A.M in the Trinity Baptist Church Cemetery, 1611 Glasshouse Road, Helenwood, Tennessee, 37755. Lucille GermanNovember 17, 2023

Lucille German, 83, of Huntsville, AL, passed away on November 17, 2023. She is survived by her daughter, Bren-da Saffrahn (Robert), granddaughter, Carrie Litton; great grandchil-dren: Stephanie, Jenise, Justin, Harley, Peyton; fi ve great-great-grandchil-dren; and siblings: Steven Carroll (Linda), Clarence Carrol, and Louise Lowe. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Earl German; infant son F.L. Phillips; and grandsons. Johnny and Charles Litton. No services are planned at this time.

 

 

Carolyn ClabornJune 23, 1947 -November 16, 2023

Carolyn Marie Lay Claborn, age 76 of Oneida, TN, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the North Knox-ville Medial Center in Powell, TN, with her son Jason by her side. Born June 23, 1947, in Scott County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Hugh L. and Ollie Jef-fers Lay. She was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband: Milford Claborn; sister: Evelyn Lay; brothers: Kenneth P., Floyd F., and Billie Phillips; and sister-in-law: Irma Phillips. Carolyn is survived by her son and caregiver: Jason Claborn; step-son: David Claborn and wife Marilyn of Maryville; brother: Glinn W. Phillips of Robbins; sister-in-law: Laverne Phillips of Oneida; special friend: Carolyn Cham-bers; as well as other fami-ly members and friends.Friends may visit with the Claborn family on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. un-til time of funeral service at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Jamie Du-vall offi ciating. Committal service will follow in the Hazel Valley Memorial Cemetery.
