Emalee Owens was crowned Miss Firemen’s Fourth 2026.
Fourth has long been recognized as the largest event of its kind across the region and remains one of Scott County’s longest standing traditions, typically drawing upwards of 10,000 people for the annual fireworks display on Independence Day.
The event kicks off with the crowning of the young woman who will reign over the event on Saturday, June 27th at noon at Fairview Elementary. As the holiday approaches, July 3rd will see entertainment and gospel music at 5pm in Huntsville.
While many plans are still being finalized, the event will maintain many of the things Scott County has long loved food, crafts, and entertainment. The day begin with the Kiwanis Club pancake breakfast and will continue with a day of live entertainment and music throughout the day, before the 4th of July parade rolls along Baker Highway and around the Courthouse Mall, beginning at 7pm.
The region’s largest fireworks display will take place at 10pm.
Other summer events taking place throughout the season are splash pads to keep youngsters busy at Oneida City Park, Huntsville City Pool, and Bandy Creek Pool throughout the summer and fun times as farmers markets begin across Scott County.
