Plateau Members Elect Board

According to Plateau Electric Cooperative (PEC), the organization is proud to be guided by principles that ensure every member has a voice in how the utility operates. In keeping with that, as a not-for-profit, PEC is governed by a board of directors elected directly by its membership. PEC leaders say that local control helps keep the utility focused on the needs of the people and values of the communities it serves.
Members also play a central role in shaping the direction of the company through annual director elections and participation in the co-op’s yearly meeting. The process reflects what PEC describes as “grassroots governance in action,” with neighbors making decisions.
PEC members took part in that election for the organization’s board of directors on Saturday as the utility held its 2026 election. The election saw four candidates appearing on the ballot. When votes were counted, Bryon “Groovy” Foster led the field with 567 votes, followed by Craig Chambers with 453. Logan Strunk received 137 votes, while Wendell Dobbs earned 123.
With the top two vote-getters securing seats on the board, Foster (County Election) and Chambers (City Election, who ran unopposed) were elected to serve as Plateau Electric Cooperative directors.
