National Quilt of Valor Work Days
Please join us for National Quilt of Valor Work Days. Friday February 6th and Saturday February 7th, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day, come and go as needed. we will be set up at First Baptist Church on Main Street, Oneida. Help us sew to honor Scott County Veterans. Thousands of Quilters across America will all be quilting at this time.
Bring your machine and join us. All supplies and projects will be provided by the Big South Fork Piece Makers Club. You are welcome to bring your own project if you have a QOV you are working on.
Scott County has over 1200 Veterans with 108 over the age of 80. The need is great and we need everyone’s help to reach our Veterans. We have a goal of a minimum of 25 quilts this year but shooting for 50. We do accept donations of fabric or funds to purchase fabric.
We will have block and quilt kits precut and ready for assembling. Several options to match different skill levels. All Veterans are invited to stop by for refreshments and to cheer on our Quilters. Refreshments and door prizes all day. Call 423-627-7348 for more information.
