Restoration and Relocation Project

Submitted by Jason Jeffers
Beginning on Jan. 20th, 2025 students enrolled in the Scott High Construction Technology class began a restoration and relocation project. This project consisted of the restoration and relocation of a large billboard type sign located on campus. The sign was completed and placed back in use on Feb. 25th, 2025.
The sign was originally purchased in 1999 by members of the SHS student council. Over the years the sign has aged and fallen out of use due to its location and deteriorating condition. The construction technology class took the initiative to repurpose the sign. This effort led to a completely reconditioned sign that now has new life and is being utilized for school events and announcements relevant to school interests and functions.
