Johnny Crabtree
June 25, 1954 – March 3, 2025

Johnny Crabtree, 70, of Flintstone, passed away Monday afternoon March 3, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Johnny was born June 25, 1954, to the late Herbert Crabtree and Pearly Jean Hicks in Huntsville, TN.
Johnny was a chef most of his life and was also part of the third brigade first infantry division in the United States Army. Johnny loved his days in the Army and loved talking about his time in Germany. He loved muscle cars and teaching Kameron about them. Cooking was his passion though and he truly was one of the best cooks. He loved Elvis Presley, and music in general, but Elvis was his favorite. Johnny loved the 1970’s. He talked about the “good ol’ days” often. Christmas was his favorite time of the year. He loved to decorate and always went all out. Most importantly, he loved his family. He loved his kids and all his grandbabies. Johnny married Glenda in 1977 and spent over half of their lives enjoying each other. Johnny never met a stranger. All who knew him, loved him, and will miss him dearly. Johnny will be deeply missed. Kameron was the light of Johnny’s life, and he loved him very much. John was Kameron’s hero and best friend. They loved to talk about cars and music, and they called each other “my buddy”. Their dream was to fix up an old Thelma and Louise car.
Johnny is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Robert, Jason, and Homer; three sisters, Deanna, Annette and Mary Helen; a grandson, Ethan; three brothers-in-law, James, Ray, and Jerry; and a son-in-law, Tim Cooper.
Johnny is survived by his wife, Glenda Crabtree; three daughters, Trish Cooper, April (Joseph) Chambers and Ashley (Jake) Kimbrell; one son, Kameron; his grandchildren, Makala (Joe), Savannah (Liv), Faith, Caleb, Braysen, Destinee, Xander, Avalee, and Trinitee; his great grandchildren, Peighton, Brayzleigh, Layton and one unborn baby; his sisters, Dorothy, Regina, and Linda; Johnny is also survived by his longtime best friends, Dale McMullen, Terry and Debbie Bandy; and many nieces nephews and friends.
