God’s Grace Soup Kitchen is Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the Fellowship Hall of Helenwood Baptist Church. The lunch of vegetable beef soup, pimento cheese sandwich and dessert is provided free by volunteers from local churches. Serving starts at 11 am as long as supply lasts. Just drive by and your hot lunch is handed to you without you leaving your car.
The Robbins Elementary School Food Pantry will be distributing Food on January 21, 2025 – 3:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. The food is being distributed at the Barton Chapel Church 5760 Scott Highway, Robbins, TN. Please, turn off Highway 27 onto School House Road at Keeton Monuments, follow School House Road around to the entrance of Barton Chapel Church. Do not try to enter Barton Chapel Parking Lot off Highway 27. To be eligible for food you must be the parent, grandparent, guardian or a care giver of a child attending Head Start or Robbins Elementary School. You can only pick up for one other Family and you must have a note from that family to pick up their box. If pets are in the Car, they must be under control. No jumping, running around and barking. Gospel Singing at RM Brooks store in Rugby, TN on Saturday, January 18th from noon to 2 p.m. Randy Terry will be special guest. For more information call 628-2533 or 865-253-0017. Everyone welcome.
Concord Baptist Community Chapel will be having a benefit singing for Dean Phillips on Friday 01/17/2025 starting 7pm. The proceeds will be going to to help with the expenses due to Mr. Phillips having a car accident. Brother Jeff Lowe and Congreation invites everyone to attend.
Gospel Singing at East Pine Knot Tabernacle Church of God, located at 1 Fed Stephens Rd., Pine Knot, KY, January 25th at 6 p.m. Special singers Hominy Valley Legacy (featuring Regan Riddle of Primitive Quartet). Pastor Malachi Barnett invites everyone.
Highland Harmony Community Chorus – A program created through the Appalachian Society of the Arts is open to area adult and teens (14 and up) who want to sing together in a large group. Rehearsals are on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month, 7 to 8:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, Oneida. Annual dues is $40 for music and supplies.
