Wilbur Watts

Wilbur Jerry Watts age 94, departed this life on Sunday January 5, 2025.He was born on July 11, 1930, to the late George R. Watts and Florence Walker Watts.

He was a member of Rugby Road United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Robbins Masonic Lodge, Sunshine Chapter 279 Order of the Eastern Star and he was also a member of the Shriners for over 50 years. He was a long-time employee of Plateau Electric Cooperative and Board Member. He enjoyed talking and reminiscing about friends and family and loved watching Tennessee Basketball. He will forever be remembered as a loving Husband, Dad, and Papaw.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife: Mary Ruth Stewart Watts; infant brother; Special Aunt: Eva England.

He is survived by his Children: Janet Shoemaker and husband Wayne, Garry and wife Debbie Watts; Grandchildren: Staci and husband Troy Sexton, Emily and husband Brandon Forst, Whitney and husband Eric Boshears, Haley and husband Chad Patton, Hannah and husband Braydon Sexton, and Alyssa Watts; Great-grandchildren: Zachary Sexton, Tori Sexton, Evan Patton, Elliott Patton, Rustle Boshears, Penelope Boshears, Layla Forst; many other special relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Until time of funeral service to begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Four Oaks Funeral Home of Oneida with Rev. John Slater officiating. Music will be provided by Brent & Leslie Shoemaker. Graveside service will be held on Thursday January 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Archie Lewallen Cemetery of the Coal Hill Community.

Pallbearers will be Troy Sexton, Zachary Sexton, Brandon Forst, Eric Boshears, Chad Patton, and Braydon Sexton.
