Some of you reading this are going through massive changes in your life. It is good for some, but for others, it is very unsettling. Remember the One you serve says that He changes not. No matter the storm raging around you, He is consistently in love with you! He will never leave you or forsake you! His love for you never changes!
The greatest example of Jesus’s power over nature is when the disciples were on boats that were being threatened by storms. During this time, He revealed that He was the Lord of their destiny. One time, He was asleep on the vessel and His disciples thought that He did not care. The truth is that Jesus always cares about us and is involved in our lives.
After the disciples woke Him up, Jesus spoke to the winds on the waves, and the waves laid down in peace. The disciples were in amazement at the power and authority that Jesus exhibited that day.
Life is filled with swift transition. Our vessel can be buffeted by the contrary winds from all sides. You may be experiencing sea sickness today but know, for a fact, that your anchor of hope will hold. Your Savior is the master of the sea and wind. His voice will calm your heart and give you the direction needed.
Look up and rejoice, your Captain is on board! Look onto Jesus, the author and the finisher of our faith. This is the confidence that we can have even when we know that we’re going through difficult times.
Your ship cannot go under with Jesus on board.
Again, I encourage you to look up and rejoice. Your Captain is on board!
