Larry Leaon Blevins, Sr., age 77, husband of Margaret Blevins, and a resident of Hampshire, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Maury Regional Medical Center. Born on July 25, 1947, in Robbins, Tennessee, Larry was the son of the late John Mitchell and Glenise June Ellis Blevins. A proud veteran of the United States Army, Larry later built a long career at General Motors until his retirement. He had a love for the outdoors and spent much of his free time fishing. A passionate sports enthusiast, Larry particularly enjoyed NASCAR. He cherished spending time with his family and attending reunions at Pickett State Park and Fall Creek Falls. Larry also had a special fondness for his cats and delighted in fellowship with his neighbors.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Clifford Blevins, sister, Lottie Crouch, and the mother of his children, Jean Clancey Blevins.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Larry (Michelle) Blevins, Jr., Jacob Blevins, daughter, Diane Blevins, sisters, Martha (Michael) Cain, Charlotte (George) Horne, grandchildren, Isabella Blevins, Addison Blevins, Christopher Blevins, Taylor Blevins, Mitchell Blevins, Brianna Tomassi-Blevins, and great grandchildren, Brynnley Blevins, Easton Blevins.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. The family will also receive friends on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until time of funeral services to begin at 2:30 p.m. at the Black Creek Crossroads Church in Robbins, Tennessee. Burial will follow in the Black Creek Crossroads Cemetery, where his family members will serve as pallbearers.
