Business Services Mktg & Sales Rep
General Summary:
Sells business telecommunications/networking solutions and equipment. Responds to product and service inquiries. Informs and educates potential customers of available products and services. Interprets customer requirements and works with clients to understand, anticipate and meet customer needs. Maintains contact with existing customer base and capitalizes on new sales opportunities. Develops and grows long-term relationships with customers. Follows-up with customers following installations and alterations to resolve customer issues and ensure customer satisfaction. Prepares various marketing and sales reports.
Essential Job Functions:
• Sells business telecommunications/networking solutions and equipment by identifying, researching and contacting potential customers. Persuades clients that appropriate products and/or services best satisfy their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery.
• Responds to product and service inquiries. Informs and educates potential customers of available products and services. Interprets customer requirements and works with clients to understand, anticipate and meet customer needs.
• Maintains contact with existing customer base and capitalizes on new sales opportunities with existing customer base. Develops and grows long-term relationships with customers.
• Follows-up with customers after installations and alterations to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Prepares various marketing and sales reports.
• Assists with design of custom-made products.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Knowledge of sales principles and practices.
• Knowledge of company products and services.
• Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Skill in operating various office equipment such as personal computer, fax, telephone systems, and various software programs and tools including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Skill in oral and written communication.
• Ability to communicate with customers, employees, and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to be self-motivated.
• Ability to work under stressful, high-pressure conditions.
• Ability to frequently travel to customer locations.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to participate in social, civic and community affairs. Communicate and inform public of company products and services and provides supportive facts as needed.
• Ability to present self in a professional manner that would promote the goals and objectives of the cooperative at all times.
• Ability to cooperate with other employees to maintain pleasant working relationships and improved morale. To exchange ideas, information, and job experience that will benefit the organization and ensure the continued progress of the Cooperative.
