A grand jury returned an indictment charging 46-year-old Shaun Leif Hall with six counts of rape of a child, five counts of statutory rape by an authority figure, and two counts of sexual abuse of a child. The charges stem from allegations that the abuse occurred over an extended period of time, which, according to available information as of press, took place between February 2019 and September 2025.
Hall was booked into the Roane County Jail on February 13, 2026, with jail records indicating that he is being held on a $750,000 bond. It was not immediately clear whether he has retained legal representation.
SCN reminds readers that an indictment is a formal accusation and not a determination of guilt. The charges were presented to a grand jury, which found there was sufficient evidence for the case to proceed through the court system. Hall is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
The case remains under investigation, and court proceedings are expected to continue in Roane County Criminal Court at a later date.
Authorities have not released additional details about the victim in order to protect the child’s identity.
