VFW Post# 5669 Thanksgiving Meals – VFW Post #5669 in Oneida will be handing out Thanksgiving Meals to veterans and their families on Saturday, November 22 from 11am-1pm at the post. Please call 423-569-5564 and leave a message with your name and number of meals. Deadline to reserve meals is November 20th.
Free Thanksgiving Meal – First Baptist Church of Oneida will be delivering meals on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27th. Please call/text Kasey or Christy to reserve your free Thanksgiving meal. We will need name, delivery address, and number of meals. Kasey Sexton (865) 617-4117, Christy Dunlap (423) 215-1360. Delivery will be between 11a.m.-1p.m.

Pinnacle Resource Center – Do you want to help the needy? Pinnacle Resource Center is accepting donations of in-date, canned and boxed food items for our Thanksgiving pantry and for an increase in pantry neighbor weekly visits. We will be serving over 125 families on Thanksgiving pantry day. We also are expecting a large increase in new pantry neighbors on a weekly basis. We can use canned green beans, canned corn, instant potatoes, yams, and sweet potatoes, gravy mix, pie filling, and stuffing mix, peanut butter, crackers, soup, cereal, and breakfast bars.
Free Clothing Distribution – Appalachian Ministry Center, located at 24728 Scott Hwy in Winfield (Old Winfield School Building) will have a free clothing distribution on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month from 9am-12 noon.
Second Harvest of East Tennessee Mobile Food Pantry will be at Bethlehem Baptist Church of Oneida on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, from 11am until all the allocated food has been distributed. Second Harvest requests that recipients should arrive when the distribution starts, rather than arriving before the start time. The distribution will take place at 19360 Alberta Street, Oneida, TN.
Unicorn Boutique in Wartburg will be opening on the first Saturday of each month beginning from 9-1, beginning on November 1.
Honor Guard Recruitment and Need – Oneida’s American Legion Post 136 Honor guard an all-volunteer group need new members for our team as well as new uniforms. Anyone interested in learning more about being an Honor Guard member, or in donating for the purchase of uniforms, please call the Veterans Service Office at 423-663-4289, M-F, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. U.S.S Tennessee Museum Located at Scott County High School will be open November 22nd and December 6th.
Lighting of The Park – Friday, December 5, 2025 at 4 p.m. – 7 p.m., Oneida City Park. Christmas market in the gym. Food trucks and pictures with the Grinch.
Christmas on Main will take place on November 22, 2025 from 1-8pm on Main Street in Oneida. A Hot Cocoa Stand and a Hidden Gnome Conest will also be part of the festivities.
Children’s Center of the Cumberlands Angel Bear Tree – Help deliver the magic of Christmas to a child and make their Christmas wishes come true!

Pictures With Santa – Bring your little ones for a delightful evening filled with joy and wonder. Join us for pictures with Santa Claus, where children can share their holiday wishes, enjoy delicious cookies, and revel in the magic of the season presented by Troop and Crew 333. Candy canes, hot chocolate and Christmas cheer. November 29th, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and December 6th, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. American Legion, Oneida, Tennessee. $5.00 per picture. With Special Guests The Unicorn Fund.
