Honor Guard Recruitment and Need – Oneida’s American Legion Post 136 Honor guard an all-volunteer group need new members for our team as well as new uniforms. Anyone interested in learning more about being an Honor Guard member, or in donating for the purchase of uniforms, please call the Veterans Service Office at 423-663-4289, M-F, 8:00AM to 4:30 PM. Serious inquiries only.
Free Clothing Distribution – Appalachian Ministry Center, located at 24728 Scott Hwy in Winfield (Old Winfield School Building) will have a free clothing distribution on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month from 9am-12 noon.
Sexton Memorial Cemetery – Donations accepted or any help in maintaining the Sexton Memorial Cemetery in the Paint Rock Community. Karate for Christ Oneida presents Christ centered karate lessons at Oneida Church of God, 1100 Paint Rock Rd., Oneida, TN. Open to everyone 5 years and up regardless of age, size or shape. Suggested donation of $5.00 per class. For more information call Larry Mason at 302-535-3965.
Highland Harmony Community Chorus – A program created through the Appalachian Society of the Arts is open to area adult and teens (14 and up) who want to sing together in a large group. Rehearsals are on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month, 7 to 8:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, Oneida. Annual dues is $40 for music and supplies. Clean Slate Addiction And Trauma Recovery Group. Meetings are every Monday at 6:30pm at Thrive Church; 130 Choate Lane, Oneida Tn 37841. For more info call/text Miranda Salada at 423-577-9221. Homecoming – East Robbins Missionary Baptist Church will be having their homecoming on Sunday June 22nd starting at 12 noon. Featured singers are Witnesses For Jesus. Everyone is invited and welcome to attend. Pastor Brother David Brewster.
Bible Camp – For Such A Time As This (Esther 4:14) at Oneida Methodist Church – 234 North Main St. July 14-18 (Mon. – Fri.), 8:30 – 4:30 for ages 5 – 14 (Limit 50 children) *ALL Children must pre-register, Pre-Register by calling 423-569-8828 Tues., Wed, & Thur. 8:00 – 1:00 or register on-line at campinthecommunity.org/host/Oneida. Activities: Archery, Cardio Drumming, Gaga Ball, & Steam Activities. Arrive at 8:30 & Wear Closed-Toe Shoes. Methodist Church will be providing breakfast & lunch. You can sponsor a child for $200.
