The body of a missing Clarksville woman was found in Scott County on Saturday. According to statements by the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, a tip led to the discovery of the remains of Megan Raymond, 37, who had last been seen on February 27th but was the subject to wide missing persons effort. “Thanks to the quick response and tireless efforts of our detectives, officers, TBI (Tennessee Bureau of Investigation) and all those involved, she was found on Saturday, March 1, 2025,”Sheriff Brian Keeton’s office said in a statement. “Our hearts go out to her family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.”
When the body was located, the Scott County Sheriff’s Office was working in conjunction with the Clarksville Special Operations Homicide Unit and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. Soon after Raymond’s body was located, Clarksville police took a man into custody, later identified as Dennis Raymond, the victim’s husband. Dennis Raymond faces a murder charge in connection with the death of his wife.
The exact location of the remains has not been released. Details regarding the circumstances of Raymond’s death are still emerging, though police say that prosecution is pending and that the investigation is ongoing.
