Routine Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Arrest

While patrolling Leatherwood Road on August 31, 2024, K9 Deputy Casey Geisler observed a vehicle that failed to maintain their lane near Terry and Terry Store.
Deputy Geisler preformed the traffic stop where Kristy Anderson was asked to exit the vehicle. After being asked by the Deputy if she had anything illegal, Ms. Anderson advised she did not have anything illegal on her person or in the car. Deputy Geisler requested Ms. Anderson to pull her pockets inside out in which a bag containing a light brown substance was found in her right pocket. She was detained at that time and a search of the vehicle was completed.
Along with the bag found on Ms. Anderson, which tested positive for fentanyl (1.42 grams), 2 bags containing approximately 4.82 grams of methamphetamine combined, 2-Suboxone, 1 alprazolam, 1/4 Xanax, 13-gabapentin 200mg, 2-gabapentin 400mg, 1-gabapentin 800mg, and other drug paraphernalia was found.
Ms. Kristy Anderson, age 42, was arrested and charged with the following:
Possession Of Schedule I
Possession Of Schedule Iii
Possession Of Schedule Iv
Possession Of Schedule V
Manufacturing/Delivery/Sale/Possession Of Controlled Substance
Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia
Failure To Maintain Single Lane
