Two arrested during attempted drug deal

On the evening of August 10, 2024, Drug Agent Daniel Garrett was patrolling in the New River area where he observed two vehicles down an access road that leads to the river.
After observation of the two vehicles, Drug Agent Garrett came into contact with the occupants. With the assistance of Sergeant Dillon Smith, K9 Colby Wisner, and Corporal Jordan Singleton, Drug Agent Garrett arrested Kelly Brown, 40, and Misty Stanley, 33, both with drug related charges after finding drug paraphernalia, scales, 1 suboxone, approximately 25.86 grams of methamphetamine, and $160 in cash.
Mr. Brown was charged with the following:
Manufacturing/Delivery/Sale/Possession Of Controlled Substance
Possession Drug Paraphernalia
Ms. Stanley was charged with the following:
Manufacturing/Delivery/Sale/Possession Of Controlled Substance
Possession Drug Paraphernalia
Possession Of Schedule Iii (Suboxone)
