West represents Scott County in New Mexico

Elijah West, Troop 333 was chosen to go to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico for a week of Training. 20 people where there to represent The Great Smoky Mountain Council. While there he hiked to Tooth of Time, elevation 9003. Philmont Scout Ranch, the Boy Scouts of America’s premier High Adventure™ base, challenges Scouts and Venturers with more than 214 square miles of rugged northern New Mexico wilderness. Backpacking treks, horseback cavalcades, and training and service programs offer young people many ways to experience this legendary country.
