Eve Jean (Ziarkowski) Zdanio
September 22, 1947 ~ April 1, 2024 (age 76)

Eve Zdanio departed this life on April 1, 2024, at her home -Oneida Nursing and Rehab Center with her family by her side. Eve, and her late husband Tom, surrendered their lives to Jesus over 40 years ago, and spent their lives following Him, and leading others to Him – both adults and teens. She often spent weeks cooking for youth groups at summer camps and mission trips dating back to the 1980’s.
She was always the first one to chaperone overnight youth trips volunteering to sleep in crowded hotels, cramped dorm rooms, and even outside in tents. She was lovingly referred to as Miss Eve or Mrs. Z by several generations of young people. Miss Eve loved her time subbing in various classrooms at Oneida Middle and High Schools. She always had a stack of cards ready to send for anyone celebrating a birthday or who just needed some encouragement. Eve was quick to give a big bear hug and a kind, encouraging word when you needed it – and sometimes even when you didn’t.
Eve was preceded in death by her parents and the love of her life, Tom Zdanio. She is survived by her children- Brenda (and Daryl) Smith, Cathie Zdanio, and Eddie (and Julie) Zdanio; brother- Rich (and Kim) Ziarkowski; grandchildren- Ethan Smith, Wesley (and Emily) Zdanio, Hailey Zdanio, Shelby Smith and Emmie Zdanio; sister-in-law Charlene Zdanio, cousins Gail Pacuri, Pam Curran, Chris Curran; nephews-Kurt Zdanio and Terry Zdanio.
Eve had a tough journey for the past couple of years with her health, and now all of that is behind her. She’s in heaven with Jesus; and reunited with Tom and all those who have gone before her.
Friends may visit with the Zdanio family on Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at the New Haven Baptist Church with Pastor Eddie Zdanio and Bro. James Roberts officiating. Music will be provided by her grandkids.
