Bill Terry

July 9, 1953 ~ March 1, 2024 (age 70)

Bill Terry, age 70 of Helenwood, TN passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024, at home with his family by his side. He was born in Oneida, TN on July 9, 1953.

He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Terry and mother, Thelma Duvall-Terry; father-in-law, Fred Strunk; mother-in-law, Jerri Strunk; brother-in-law, Mike Strunk; sisters-in-law, Linda Terry of Allardt and Phyllis Terry of Capitol Hill; nephews, Jamie and Jeff Terry of Capitol Hill; and Tonya Shelp of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Bill is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kimberly Strunk-Terry; son, Dustin Terry and wife Emily of Helenwood; sisters, Louise Terry Burke and husband Fred Burke of Oneida, Donna Terry Turner of Oneida; brothers, Ken Terry of Allardt, Paul Terry and wife Faye of Huntsville, Roger Terry and wife Nancy of Indianapolis, Indiana; brother-in-law, Steve and wife Susan Strunk of Punta Gorda, FL; sister-in-law, Dorothy Strunk of Punta Gorda, FL; many special nieces and nephews who all loved Uncle Bill unconditionally; special friends, brother-in-law: Fred Burke and Arnold Stephens; many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Terry family on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 1 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Sexton and Bro. Larry Sexton officiating. Music will be provided by Standing Stone.

Committal service will follow in the Daniel Memorial Cemetery in Helenwood. Pallbearers will be: Buster Slaven, Ronnie Terry, Derrick Simpson, Arnold Stephens, Lloyd Stephens, and Tom Payne. Honorary pallbearers will be: Estel Byrd, Doyle Smith, and Scotty Harness.

Lounova Sexton

August 28, 1939 ~ March 1, 2024 (age 84)

Lounova Swaney Sexton, age 84, departed this life on Friday, March 1, 2024, at his home in Huntsville TN surrounded by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  He was the son of the late Edward Shine Swaney and Arthona Louise Coffey. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church; and was the owner and CEO of the family’s business, Sexton’s Electric Heating and Refrigeration for 44 years, from 1974 to 2016 alongside his wife Louise and son Shane.

In addition to his parents, He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years Louise Sexton, great-grandsons, Jonah and Josiah: brothers, James and Tony Coffey: son-in-law Gary Foster.

Lounova is survived by his wife, Billie (Cookie) Sexton: Children: Tammy Cross and husband Herb, Nova Taylor and husband Dean, Regina Walters and husband Todd, and Shane Sexton and his Wife Angel. Grandchildren: Austin Sexton and fiancee Destiny, Dusty Sexton and wife Hannah, Amber Huber and husband David, Heather Roberts and husband Chad, Chris Cotton and Fiancee Jessica, and Jonathan Cotton and wife McKelia. Great Grandchildren: Harper Huber, Roz Huber, Carlee Roberts, Ellie Huber, Taylor Roberts, Aleighana Cotton, Zoey Cotton, Liam Hale, Caleb Cotton, Roman Sexton, Draxton Sexton, Stone Sexton, Shaya Cotton, Jace Cotton, Haven Cotton, Adaleigh Cotton, Siblings: Claudette Smith and husband Rob, Carletta Thomas and husband Jack, and Claudia Tilman and husband Andy, Many Nieces and Nephews and Friends. And a special thank you to Dr. Tim Smith and staff, Quality Hospice Care Oneida Nursing & Rehab, and caregivers, Teresa West and Brenda Smith. 

Friends may visit with the Sexton family on Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 11 a.m. until the time of the Memorial service at 12 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Davis officiating.

Inurnment services will follow at the Hazel Valley Memorial Cemetery with full Military Honors conducted by the American Legion Post #136 of Oneida.

Lounova’s request was cremation.

Richard Dennis Ellis

June 17, 1943 ~ March 1, 2024 (age 80)
