Bonnie Jean Blevins
Bell-Phillips, age 67 of Oak Ridge, TN, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023, at Sacred Ground Hospice Care in Knoxville, TN. Bonnie was born December 23, 1955, to the late Lawrence Marion and Pearl Mae Watson-Blevins. She
was raised on the Blevins Farm in the Pine Creek Community of Oneida, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: William Bell; daughter: Samantha Jean Bell-Mills; grandson: Marcus Houston Byrd; grandparents: Joseph and Savannah Bell Watson, and William Houston and Rosa Marcum Blevins; brothers: Billy Joe,
Sr. and wife Lorene Carson Blevins, Lindberg and John David ‘JD’ Blevins; sisters: Ruth Kay Blevins Burress and husband Harold, Flonnie Fay Phillips and husband Hubert, Barbara Sue Blevins King and husband Curtis, and Mary Rose Blevins; brothers-in-law: John D. Jackson and Junior Ooten; sisters-in-law: Carolyn Berry Blevins, and Pansy Hall Blevins; nephews: Billy Joe Blevins, Jr., and James ‘Jim’ Phillips; nieces: Jennifer Jackson Timbs, Jackie Jackson Armstrong, and Jamie King. Bonnie leaves behind her daughter: Trina M. Lawson Byrd and husband Mark of Oneida, TN; brother: James Roscoe Blevins of Oneida, TN; sisters: Lena Mae Blevins Jackson of Oneida, TN, and Nancy Louise Blevins Ooten of Clinton, TN; grandchildren: Ashton and Triston Byrd, Steven Love, Johathan Sexton, Brianna, Tomi, and Gabrielle Patterson; 5 great grandkids; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Graveside service will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. in the Blevins Cemetery in the Pine Creek Community of Oneida, TN with Bro. Delyn Phillips officiating. John David Bradley,
age 68 of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Oneida, TN, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at his home.
Born October 14, 1954, in Oneida, TN, he was the son of the late Isaac Adam and Mattie Helen Smith Bradley. John was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oneida. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Dennis Bradley; and grandson: Isaac Bradley. John is survived by his wife: Mary Elizabeth Hannah Smith; sons: Adam and Matthew Bradley; sister: Sue- Ann Celano; as well as other family members and friends. Graveside service will be held on Monday, June 12, 2023, at the Thorn Grove Cemetery, 721 South Carter School Road in Knoxville, TN, with Doug Wilder officiating. Dorinda Ray,
age 54, departed this life on June 6, 2023. She was born on August 08, 1968, to the late Dorsey Thompson and
Brenda Buttram Thompson. Dorinda loved being with her family, as they were her greatest joy. She enjoyed going to the beach. She loved worshipping and serving the Lord. She was a member of the Little Charity’s Ministry She was preceded in death by her parents: Dorsey and Brenda Thompson. Dorinda was survived by her husband of 19 years, Ricky Ray: 2 Special Children: Craig Ray and Fiancé KJ and Kaleigh Ward and husband Tyler; 2 Grandpups: Opie and Bo; 1 Sister: Kimberly Kidd and husband Jerry; 1 Sisterin- Law: Dawn Brook; Nieces and Nephews: Brooke Harness and Husband Jordan, Jared Kidd and wife Kaitlyn; Shane Allen and wife Samantha, Carleigh Brooke; Great Nieces and Nephews: Jayden, Aliyah, Brynlee, Peyton, and Cowen. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, June 9th, 2023, in the chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home of Huntsville from 12 Noon until time of funeral services that will begin at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Troy Shane
Sexton passed in beauty and grace at home with his family on June 8, 2023. He was born on February 23, 1973, alongside
his best friend and late twin brother Terry Shannon Sexton. He enjoyed spending time with his son, Troy Samuel Sexton, who was the light of his life. He valued tradition and often portrayed himself as the protector of the ones he loved. Other than his family, Shane put pride in his many years of work helping others as a physical therapist assistant and wellness and fitness trainer and was loved and respected by those he worked with. In addition to his twin brother, he was preceded in death by his father, Clifton H (Sonny) Sexton, Grandparents: Leonard Terry Jr, Raylene Duncan Terry, Deacon Sexton, and Sue Wright Sexton, Uncles: Drew Sexton and Clarence Denny Lowe. In addition to his son, he is survived by his mother, Judy Terry Liming and husband Mark, sisters: Sonni Reagan and husband Dustin and Aleisha Byrd and husband David. Nieces: Emma and Sophia Reagan, Mia Liming, Mikhia Duncan, and Kayleigh Byrd. Nephews: Caleb Reagan, Ty Duncan, and Colton Byrd, Aunts: Mart Lowe and Gerald Marcum and husband John. age 69 of Helenwood, TN passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at his home. Born in LaFollette, TN on January 10, 1954, he was the son of the late Wade T. and Betty Silcox Monday. He was a member of Zion United Baptist Church in
Hamilton, OH. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Elizabeth Monday and special friend, Frank West. Jerry is survived by his daughter, Heather Rae Monday; granddaughter, Shana Douglas and husband, Wesley Douglas; grandson, Ryan Butler and wife Ashton; great grandchildren, Ryker Douglas, Mason Queener, Shiloh Butler, Emma Douglas, and Julie Butler; many other relatives and friends. Nancy VanHook Hunt,
age 66 of the Pine Hill Community in Oneida, TN, entered her Heavenly home on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, after a brave nine-month battle with cancer at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN. Born August 15, 1956, she was the
daughter of the late Cecil and Carlene VanHook. She was a member of Big Ridge Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by four brothers: Robert, Kenneth, Terry and Jimmy VanHook; one sister: Janice Tamboer; and a son-in-law: Isaiah Orick. Nancy is survived by her husband: Earl Worley Hunt; children: Stephanie Erwin and husband Tim, Robert Burchfield and husband Joshua, Ben Burchfield and wife Karen, Tara Orick, Marcus Burchfield and wife Alex; one brother: Richard VanHook and wife Rhonda; two sisters: Judy Autry and husband Harold, and Paula Sexton and husband Carl; three special sisters-in-law: Geneva VanHook, Barb VanHook, and Layvon Burchfield; twelve grandchildren: Ethan, Rylee, and Nolan Cotton; Emily and Maddox Nelson; Ryker Orick; Abraham, Thomas, Everlei, Rory, Aria, and Judah Burchfield; many nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends. age 85 of Helenwood, TN, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at the Oneida Nursing and Rehab Center in
Oneida, TN. Born August 5, 1937, in Scott County, TN, she was the daughter of the late George and Carrie McDonald Phillips. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Glen C. Jeffers; daughter: Carrie Sue Posey; one brother and four sisters. Pearl is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; many nieces, nephews and other loved ones and friends. Barbara Lynn Duncan
Fornash, daughter of Reverend Luther and Gertie Acres Duncan, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, June 8, 2023. Lynn gave her heart and life to Jesus at a young age at Mt. Zion Baptist church where she remained a member until her passing. In addition to her parents, Lynn was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Fornash; her daughter, Linda Fornash Campbell; brothers, Melbert Acres, James, and David Duncan; one sister, Martha Sue Staten; nephews, Joey Bond, Jeff Kidd, and James “Bubby” Holt. Lynn leaves to mourn her passing, her son, Anthony Earl Fornash and wife Angela; seven grandchildren; brothers, Joe Duncan, Joshua Duncan and wife Bonnie; sisters, Easter Toler, Ann Kidd, June Toomey and husband Dan, Mary Hall; and a host of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly, and many other family members and friends. Lynn loved her family unconditionally and her favorite saying was, “I love you, love you, love you!’’ Her beautiful smile would light up the room because it came from her very heart and soul. Graveside service will be on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at 3 p.m. in the Wilhite Cemetery in the Buffalo community with Bro. Jeff Dyer officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
