Robbins Elementary School Food Pantry – The Robbins Elementary School Food Pantry will be distributing Food on June 16, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. The food is being distributed at the Barton Chapel Church 5760 Scott Highway. To be eligible for food you must be the parent, grandparent, guardian or a care giver of a child attending Head Start or School at Robbins Elementary . No Proof of income required. Smoky Mountain Quilters of Tennessee 45th Quilt Show & Competition – : Friday, June 19, 2026, 9am-5pm; Saturday, June 20, 2026, 9am-4pm, Knoxville Expo Center, 5441 Clinton Highway, Knoxville, TN 37912. About 200 quilts on display. Show attendees are invited to bring a favorite quilt and record a brief video story about it to be archived in the Quilt Alliance “Go Tell It!” project. Celebrating 100 years of Fair in Scott County – Scott County Fair Asso. is now collecting recipes, stories and pictures old and new for the cookbook to be sold at the fair in August. We want you in it. Yours, your Mama’s, even Grandpa’s memories and recipes make our community complete. Cemetery (Grave Marker) Flags – The Scott County Memorial VFW Post 5669 and Auxiliary are again providing Cemetery (Grave Marker) Flags to those interested in commemorating the sacrifices made by the deceased veterans of Scott County. If you wish to “adopt” a cemetery for the placement of commemorative flags, please contact Avery Honeycutt, Scott County Veterans Service Officer, at (423) 663-4289 Monday thru Friday, as soon as possible. Flags will be provided to you at no cost on a first come, first served basis.
Veterans Kayaking – Every 3rd Saturday of each month at Oneida Park, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Contact Commander Wagaman VFW Post 5669 at 423-569-5664 for more information We will have some kayaks available from the city of Oneida on a first come basis or you can bring your own. Must have waivers signed by 2nd Saturday of each month.
Veteran Tribute Banner Program – For families honoring a veteran’s service and sacrifice. Will be displayed each year from Labor Day through Veterans Day for a total of 3 years. Cost is $150.00, deadline is July 1st. Contact Commander Wagaman VFW Post 5669 at 423-569-5664 for more information.

Honor Guard Recruitment and Need – Oneida’s American Legion Post 136 Honor guard an all-volunteer group need new members for our team as well as new uniforms. Anyone interested in learning more about being an Honor Guard member, or in donating for the purchase of uniforms, please call the Veterans Service Office at 423-663-4289, M-F, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Free Clothing Distribution – Appalachian Ministry Center, located at 24728 Scott Hwy in Winfield (Old Winfield School Building) will have a free clothing distribution on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month from 9am-12 noon.
Clean Slate Addiction And Trauma Recovery Group – Meetings are every Monday at 6:30 p.m .at Thrive Church; 130 Choate Lane, Oneida Tn 37841. For more info call/text Miranda Salada at 423-577-9221. This is for any type of addiction, not just substance and alcohol, and any trauma. It is a faith based recovery group. Everyone welcome
Second Harvest of East Tennessee Mobile Food Pantry will be at Bethlehem Baptist Church of Oneida on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, from 11 a.m. until all the allocated food has been distributed. Second Harvest requests that recipients should arrive when the distribution starts, rather than arriving before the start time. The distribution will take place at 19360 Alberta Street, Oneida, TN.
American Legion Post 136 meets the first Monday of each month at 6:00 PM in the War Memorial Building. Location is 19174 Alberta St. Oneida TN 37841.
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5669 meets the last Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM. Location is 1578 Sand Cut Rd Oneida, TN 37841.
