God’s Grace Soup Kitchen – Saturday, November 15, 2025 at the Helenwood Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. The free lunch is homemade chili, pimento cheese sandwich and dessert. Drive by starts at 11:00 am and your lunch is handed to you without having to leave your car. The food is provided by volunteers from Scott County churches.
VFW Post# 5669 Thanksgiving Meals – VFW Post #5669 in Oneida will be handing out Thanksgiving Meals to veterans and their families on Saturday, November 22 from 11am-1pm at the post. Please call 423-569-5564 and leave a message with your name and number of meals. Deadline to reserve meals is November 20th.
Free Thanksgiving Meal – First Baptist Church of Oneida will be delivering meals on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27th. Pinnacle Resource Center – Do you want to help the needy? Pinnacle Resource Center is accepting donations of in-date, canned and boxed food items for our Thanksgiving pantry and for an increase in pantry neighbor weekly visits. We will be serving over 125 families on Thanksgiving pantry day. We also are expecting a large increase in new pantry neighbors on a weekly basis. We can use canned green beans, canned corn, instant potatoes, yams, and sweet potatoes, gravy mix, pie filling, and stuffing mix, peanut butter, crackers, soup, cereal, and breakfast bars.
Robbins Elementary School Food Pantry will be distributing Food on Nov. 18, 2025–3:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. The food is being distributed at the Barton Chapel Church 5760 Scott Highway, Robbins, TN. Please, turn off Highway 27 onto School House Road at Keeton Monuments, follow School House Road around to the entrance of Barton Chapel Church. Do not try to enter Barton Chapel Parking Lot off Highway 27. To be eligible for food you must be the parent, grandparent, guardian or a care giver of a child attending Head Start or Robbins Elementary School. You can only pick up for one other Family and you must have a note from that family to pick up their box. If pets are in the Car, they must be under control. No jumping, running around and barking. Thanksgiving Dinner at the Elgin Community Center – November 16, 12:00 pm until food runs out at Elgin Community Center 184 Elgin St. Elgin, TN. Cost: $10.00 for adults, $7.00 for Children under 14 years of age. Proceeds will be used to build a Back Porch on the Community Center
Free Clothing Distribution – Appalachian Ministry Center, located at 24728 Scott Hwy in Winfield (Old Winfield School Building) will have a free clothing distribution on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month from 9am-12 noon.
Second Harvest of East Tennessee Mobile Food Pantry will be at Bethlehem Baptist Church of Oneida on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, from 11am until all the allocated food has been distributed. Second Harvest requests that recipients should arrive when the distribution starts, rather than arriving before the start time. The distribution will take place at 19360 Alberta Street, Oneida, TN.
Unicorn Boutique in Wartburg will be opening on the first Saturday of each month beginning from 9-1, beginning on November 1.
Honor Guard Recruitment and Need – Oneida’s American Legion Post 136 Honor guard an all-volunteer group need new members for our team as well as new uniforms.
