Scott County Sheriff Announces Promotions
By Shane Gilreath

Deputy Addie Goodman
“We are proud to share two important promotions within the Scott County Jail Division,” Sheriff Keeton said in a statement. Those promotions included two deputies who Keeton says have shown professionalism every day in their service to Scott County. Deputy Addie Goodman, who began her career with the department in 2018, has been named our PREA Coordinator and Facility Compliance Officer. “Goodman quickly rose through the ranks—from Deputy to OIC, then to Sergeant,” the department’s statement said.
“Throughout her career, she has ensured that all duties are carried out to the highest standard. Her leadership, attention to detail, and commitment to doing things the right way has made her an exceptional supervisor. We are confident that she will excel in her new role overseeing PREA compliance and facility operations,” Keeton said.
Deputy Dave Hill, who also began his employ in 2018, was also subject to a promotion. Hill has been named the Scott County Sheriff’s Office Trustee Coordinator, supervising our Inmate Work Program, working his way up to OIC, serving as second in command on his shift. “Deputy Hill has always gone above and beyond, leading numerous community

cleanup projects, overseeing inmate litter pick-ups throughout the county, and even supervising cemetery maintenance efforts. His dedication to the program and to Scott County is commendable,” the Sheriff’s office said.
“I’m incredibly proud of the hard work and professionalism shown every day by our jail staff,” said the sheriff. “My Deputies reflect the values of this office through their dedication not only to the facility and its operations but also to the betterment of our county. Their leadership strengthens our department and the entire community.”
