Second Harvest of East Tennessee Mobile Food Pantry will be at Bethlehem Baptist Church of Oneida on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 11am until all the allocated food has been distributed. Second Harvest requests that recipients should arrive when the distribution starts, rather than arriving before the start time. The distribution will take place at 19360 Alberta Street, Oneida, TN.
Free Clothing Distribution – Appalachian Ministry Center, located at 24728 Scott Hwy in Winfield (Old Winfield School Building) will have a free clothing distribution on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month from 9am-12 noon.
U.S.S Tennessee Museum Located at Scott County High School will be open May 10th & 24th, June 7th (Ham radio ship, weekend) & 28th, July 12th & 26th, August 9th & 23rd, September 13th & 27th (Scott County Heritage Festival), October 11th & 25th, November 8th & 22nd and December 6th.
Free Breakfast – Elgin Community Center, May12, 2025, 8:00 am until 10:00 am. We will have all the Good Fireside Food. Sauage, Bacon, Balogna, Ham, Fried Potatoes, Hot Cakes, Biscuits and Gravy and Drinks. Donations Accepted and Encouraged.
Karate for Christ Oneida presents Christ centered karate lessons at Oneida Church of God, 1100 Paint Rock Rd., Oneida, TN. Open to everyone 5 years and up regardless of age, size or shape. Suggested donation of $5.00 per class. For more information call Larry Mason at 302-535-3965.

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5669 meets the last Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM. Location is 1578 Sand Cut Rd Oneida, TN 37841.
Perkins Cemetery – The annual meeting of the Perkins Cemetery Community will be held on June 8th, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Donations are needed for the up keep of the cemetery. Send donations to: Opal Anderson, P.O. Box 74, Winfield, TN 37892.
Sexton Memorial Cemetery – Donations accepted or any help in maintaining the Sexton Memorial Cemetery in the Paint Rock Community. Boy Scout Troop 333 meets every Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the American Legion Building, 19175 Alberta St., Oneida. Stop by or contact the Scoutmaster at (423) 319-9753.
Highland Harmony Community Chorus – A program created through the Appalachian Society of the Arts is open to area adult and teens (14 and up) who want to sing together in a large group. Rehearsals are on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month, 7 to 8:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, Oneida. Annual dues is $40 for music and supplies.
