The Town Of Oneida will not be picking up trash on Labor Day, Monday, September 2. Monday’s normal trash route will be picked up on Tuesday, September 3.

E.T.H.R.A. will distribute USDA Commodities on Sept 12th, 2024 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Scott County Farmer’s and Crafter’s Market. Please bring your own boxes, and you may pick up for three households only. In accordance with federal law, both ETHRA and USDA are prohibited from discrimination on the basis of race, color national origin, sex, age, or disability.

SCOTT COUNTY SUICIDE PREVENTION DAY – September 10th, 2024, County wide prayer event, Oneida city park gazebo #4. Join us to light a candle to remember a loved one lost to suicide and for those who live with thoughts of suicide. We invite EVERYONE to attend this event. Together, let us lift up our county in prayer. Together, let’s raise awareness and prevent suicide in our community. Event Starts at 6 p.m.
Upper Jellico Creek Reunion, Sunday, September 1, at 1:00. Looking forward to seeing everyone! Will be collecting money for Dale for cemetery care – did not collect Decoration Day. Bring music, food, and families.
Town of Oneida Labor Day & 50th Birthday Celebration of Oneida City Park, September 1 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Oneida City Park. This event is free and open to the public. Come out and enjoy fireworks, live music from The Clint Keeton Band and The Skene Valley Band. We will also have food trucks and birthday cake. Due to fireworks, we highly discourage bringing pets. Scott County Heritage Festival – Experience the Appalachian culture with live authentic demonstrations. Saturday, September 28th, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Event by Museum of Scott County, 400 Scott High Dr., Huntsville, TN.
