Lady Vols full softball schedule 2024
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee softball revealed its complete 2024 schedule on Thursday, announcing its full non-conference slate after releasing its Southern Conference opponents in Sep-tember.The Lady Vols’ regular season schedule features 23 home games, 19 road games and 12 neu-tral-site contests. They will open their season on Thursday, Feb. 8 at UT-Arlington before playing a three-game series Feb. 9-11 at Baylor*.Tennessee plays at Kennesaw State on Feb. 14 before traveling to Clearwater, Florida, for the 2024 Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational (Feb. 16-18). UT will play Stanford*, Texas*, Georgia Tech, UCLA* and Florida State* while in Florida.The Big Orange swaps the Gulf Coast for the West Coast the following week as it travels to Cathedral City, California, to participate in the 2024 Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic Feb. 23-25. Tennessee will play six games over three days against Loyola Marymount*, Cal State Fullerton*, Oregon State, UCF*, Hawai’i and UCLA*.UT opens at home with the Tennessee Classic March 1-3, playing host to Brown, Longwood and Stetson. Following a Tuesday mid-week matchup at Clemson* on March 5, the Lady Vols wel-come Missouri State, Ohio State and South Dakota to Sherri Parker Lee Stadium for the Tennessee Invitational March 8-10.Tennessee’s remaining non-conference slate includes a visit to Washington D.C. to face How-ard on March 11, its annual trip to Columbia, Tennessee, for the Mid-State Classic against Mem-phis on April 2 and a home contest versus Belmont on April 23.In conference play, UT is slated to host Missouri* (March 15-17), Georgia* (April 5-7), LSU* (April 19-21) and Kentucky* (May 3-5). Road series include trips to South Carolina* (March 23-25), Auburn* (March 29-31), Mississippi State (April 12-14) and Alabama* (April 26-28).The Lady Vols are scheduled to face 16 teams and play 33 games against opponents that ad-vanced to the NCAA Tournament in 2023, including six super regional teams and three WCWS participants in Alabama, Florida State and Stanford.Dates and times are subject to change. All conference series other than Tennessee’s trip to South Carolina – set to be played Saturday-Monday – are currently scheduled to be played Fri-day-Sunday.
