FROM DARKNESS TO DANCE

A true account of Judy Liming’s darkest life struggles, and becoming transformed by the healing power of Love while she keeps on keeping on learning to overcome life’s tragedies.

Judy continues to partake of the Body and Blood of Jesus for the cleansing and healing of her body.. The daily communion helps Judy to continue to have a closer walk with God. During her Spiritual Journey, Judy has become increasingly aware that “Immanuel is ever present”, God with us . When you experience that closeness and love of God you will never be the same. “Your life will change and you will experience miracles”.
Recalling from Part I, Judy’s first cancer was ovarian that had spread throughout her entire abdominal region. After a year of devastating chemo along with a year of being cancer free, she was informed cancer had returned. It was the same kind of cancer, now in her lymphatic system. She said she never questioned God, but she became really discouraged and somewhat disappointed. But through this struggle she found new strength by sitting at the feet of Jesus in Worship and praise. While going through cancer and covid, Judy began a theological study of Inner Heart Healing and began a training program staying connected to the Body of Christ in this new journey. She continued in daily communion believing in the healing power of the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. The scriptures teach us intimacy of coming to Christ in obedience and in Remembrance of all Jesus completed and finished at the Cross.
Judy explained that on her first chemo journey, “it was a mystery.” She didn’t know what was going to happen. But on her second chemo journey, she had experienced the devastation and she just didn’t want to do it. She explained that in order to successfully endure these struggles, she had to come before God with child-like faith and in doing so, she danced as a child in worship and praise and called it conquering chemo. Judy shares that she believes the soul is made up of the mind, the will, and the emotions. And we tend to let our emotions rule and reign because we are ruling and reigning from that “emotional self”. We don’t depend on our God. She continued, The Word of God invites us to become One with HIM. The Word of God invites us to become the Abiding Place, The Temple of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit lives in us.Because of this we are One with Christ the Anointed One.
“Salvation is just the beginning to me”, Judy explained. Jesus’s name means Salvation, coming to Him in surrender of the old life and becoming a New Creation in being born again from a sin nature into the glorious forgiveness of the Good News, the Gospel that we now and forever have Eternal Life. We receive Jesus, God the Father and Holy Spirit and a new way of life. Judy believes we now are changed from Glory to Glory as we enter into life’s journey with Jesus.
Judy believes the loving presence of Holy Spirit will lead, guide and direct you to things. She says to be aware of the wooing and drawing of the Holy Spirit. “He drew me to attend prayer meetings in Knoxville and this led to many anointings and appointings in the Ministry of Reconciliation as Paul reminds us we are Ambassadors of Reconciliation as Jesus Reconciles all things to the Heart of Father God. 2nd Corinthians 5:18
Judy spoke about the importance of “LOVE”. “We can be obedient, we can do all these works, we can experience all these miracles, but in order to have a truly intimate experience with Christ we must know the love of Christ. We are to be known by the Fruit of the Spirit. Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self Control. Judy says she is still growing in this as life is an opportunity for always growing in the Fruit of the Spirit.
These life lessons Judy has learned from an early age and continued to learn as she and her twin sons, Shannon and Shane were saved and baptized together during a revival at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Oneida, TN. Judy received Christ at an early age during VBS at Paint Rock Baptist Church and rededicated her life and wanted to be baptized with Shane and Shannon. She spoke about how Shane and Shannon were in sync with each other, that even before they were born their hearts were so in sync that the doctor only heard one heartbeat and each had a birthmark designating where they had been so close in heart space in the womb. So when one suffered from something, it affected both of them. She said twins connect on a different level – a spiritual level.
Judy experienced the loss of her son, Shannon, nine (9) years ago. She said she fought seven (7) of those nine years, to keep her other son, Shane, alive. Shannon fought hard to deal with health issues. However, his fear of the possibility of facing Parkinson’s disease coupled with working for the Federal Prison brought him to a very dark place in his life. His death was extremely traumatic not just for Judy, but especially for twin brother Shane.. The loss of his twin brother devastatingly changed his life and brokenheartedness became the journey they all had to navigate. Judy explained that “broken heartedness” kills people. It has actually become a diagnosis and it can cause disease. She continued to say that after Shannon’s death she tore herself apart with blame for not doing more as a young momma, a middle aged momma, or an older momma. She explained this was not at all what the Love of Jesus wants us to do. In Christ we are to know the Truth that there is NO condemnation and blame and shame are of the enemy that comes to steal, kill and destroy. John 10:10. Jesus states He has come that we may have LIFE and LIFE more abundant. Judy states the Victory of Jesus’s Finished Work on the Cross and His Grace and Freedom has set her free from condemnation, shame and blame. This is the Good News, the Gospel that sets us FREE.
Judy has experienced more tragedy in a few years than most people experience in a lifetime. As discussed in Part 1, Judy was known for her passion in health, fitness and finding joy in living a healthy lifestyle. She was a licensed PT assistant, manual therapist, and certified massage therapist. She promoted good health practices to others by conducting aerobics classes, opening a gym and then supported others in their quest to bring awareness of the importance of choices in maintaining a healthy, fit, energetic quality of life.
When asked how Judy has managed to cope with all of her life’s heavy burdens, she replied, “my journey with Jesus and finding the beauty of releasing my burdens as He instructs us to do. He reminds us He took our burdens at the Cross and that He is the one to bear our burdens. With Inner Heart Healing I have learned that we carry burdens we were never intended to carry and this results in a spirit of heaviness. In Isaiah 61:3 we are given a beautiful prophecy of Jesus;” to appoint unto them who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of Joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that HE be Glorified. Many carry burdens that they were never intended or meant to carry. Jesus came to heal the broken hearted – to set the captive free. Isaiah 61:1 “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord has annointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.” Luke 4:18-21
Judy truly believes that the traumatic loss of her son, Shannon and the brokenheartedness triggered the cells for the onset of cancer. She has suffered much through cancer and the loss of her twin sons. Judy has been drawn ever closer into her Love walk with the Lord, to trust in His Overcoming Power, His miracle working power and in knowing how greatly Father God Loves us,. John 3:16. She continues to grow in her Identity in Christ, her Destiny as a believer, an overcomer by the Blood of the Lamb and her testimony. Rev.12:11. Judy’s Testimony through Christ is that she has been given a Destiny from Devastation, Triumph over Trauma and Tragedy and a Passion from Pain. To Love the Lord with all our Heart, Mind, Soul and Strength and to Love our Neighbor as we Love ourselves. Mark 12:30-31
Judy fully acknowledges the blessings that God has placed upon her life. Tho’ much has been lost, greater has been given.

Please join us next week for Part III of, From Darkness to Dance, as we learn how Judy has committed herself to God’s work of “Heart Healing” and the final chapter of how she has gone from “DARKNESS TO DANCE”.
